TINDOWS organizes joint workshops and research activities among its members on development, environment, and medicine related to the Indian Ocean World.

The workshops and academic conference activities  organized by TINDOWS members that are related to our research activities will be shared as cooperative workshops and training sessions to provide an opportunity for interdisciplinary research.

The Indian Ocean World Studies Program holds an international symposium every year to transmit research results internationally and to promote research exchanges with world-leading researchers in various fields.

An international symposium is scheduled to be held at the University of Tokyo in 2025.

Our program will organize workshops and provide assistance for research activities for university students, graduate students, and young researchers who engaged in research activities related to development, medicine, and environmental sustainability in The Indian Ocean World Studies.
